MDR Photography Classes are held at Christina Peters’ photography studio called Merseyside Studios in Marina Del Rey. Class sizes will be strictly limited in order to provide maximum time and attention for each student. Each student is invited to get the most out of each class by presenting specific questions and concerns about his or her own work and/or career.

Natural Light Food Photography for Chefs, Food Bloggers, Designers and Foodies.

This class was one of Tasting Table’s Approved events for January! A fun class for anyone with an interest in food photography. This class is tailored not for the professional photographer, but for those who want to create delicious and attractive images for their web sites, blogs or small printed pieces. Students will learn a variety of fun and simple techniques for preparing, presenting and photographing all types of food. Class includes an actual photo shoot in the studio with natural light, followed by instruction on importing files to a computer and optimizing them for publication on the web. This is not a food styling class.

Requirements: You must have a digital camera and have basic skills in its use. A laptop for downloading and editing photo files is helpful but not required.

This is a class for beginners to learn how to use Tungsten light in food photography.
Learn to create shots like this at home! A fun class for anyone interested in food photography. This class is tailored not for the professional photographer, but for those who want to create delicious and attractive images for their web sites, blogs and small printed pieces. Students will learn a variety of fun and simple techniques for preparing, presenting and photographing all types of food. Class includes an actual photo shoot in the studio using Tungsten light followed by instruction on importing files to a computer and optimizing them for print. Christina will have inexpensive lighting kits available for each student to use. Christina will go over shooting with Tungsten light in detail. If you like the kit you will have the opportunity to purchase it. Please email Christina for details. This is not a food styling class.
